LONDON, April 22 2012 /PNNewswire/ — How often do you find yourself signing up for a poker room after seeing a promotion you qualify for or a tournament you’d like to enter, only to discover the site doesn’t accept the funding source you’d like to use? Or, maybe you’re confused about what the various payment options are and which is best for you.

With Bestpokersite.org’s 2012 poker room payment guide, it is easier than ever to learn about the various payment methods and to find out if your favorite room is going to accept your preferred payment. Poker laws and therefore the way poker money is processed vary greatly from country to country. Add that to the fact that laws are constantly changing within countries, and you can end up with a whole lot of confusion.

Just by clicking on any of the payment methods in Bestpokersite.org’s 2012 poker room payment guide, you will have access to a wealth of information about the world of online poker funding, including guides to all of the best poker sites. From major credit card companies like MasterCard and Visa to more obscure or region-specific wallet sites, this guide completely demystifies the payment options.

The guide also goes into helpful details, like what kind of account you might have to create (in the case of wallet sites) and what sort of processing fees you can expect to pay. Bestpokersite.org also provides information on what kind of security features are available with each payment method, which is very useful as security is always a major concern surrounding online funds and payment processing.

It can be especially frustrating to get to that final step of signing up with a poker room or payment site, only to discover that members from your country aren’t allowed. Save yourself time and hassle by checking Bestpokersite.org’s guide prior to signing up for anything. Just like a building, winning at poker requires building a solid foundation. Having a working knowledge of the rooms and payment methods is going to help you establish that base.

It seems that the Godfather of Poker isn’t quite ready to cede his title to any challengers – at least not yet. A recent blog post from Doyle reveals that the most famous name in poker is still grinding away at it every day in the Vegas high-stakes poker games.

Doyle’s exposure has definitely decreased in the months following Black Friday. After disassociating himself with the online poker room that bore his name, the Internet heard little from Doyle, a notable lack given how prolific he had become via both his blog and Twitter updates.

That led some to speculate that Doyle might be hanging up the old card protector after countless decades at the top of the game he helped make a mainstream phenomenon. It turns out, however, that Texas Dolly had just refocused his sights on the live high stakes games, his family, and his health.

In his latest blog, Doyle sounds upbeat, even chipper, as he talks about the flood of high stakes poker money that’s currently rolling into Vegas. His only complaint? He wishes the kids would lay less exotic games so that recreational players would feel more comfortable sitting in. Apparently Badugi isn’t the best way to reel casual players into your game. As for online play, Doyle was never that interested in the high stakes real money online poker games even at their peak, so Black Friday didn’t change his plans much, if at all, in that regard.

What Doyle didn’t address was his plans for this year’s World Series of Poker. It’s too soon to say that he’ll be skipping the series, but one suspects that the lure of the cash games during the WSOP may be so strong as to move Doyle over to that side of the fence. While we expect that he will at least play the Main Event and the Chip Reese Memorial, don’t be surprised if those are two on a very short list of WSOP events on Doyle’s dance card in 2012.

Will Doyle return to online poker? That’s an even trickier question, but it seems likely that the only path back to online poker for Doyle would be via a regulated US entity like Caesar’s. Doyle is one of the few poker names recognizable to a general audience, so his services will certainly be in demand – assuming he’s interested when the time comes.

While it may be hard for new online poker players to appreciate, there was a time when Doyle’s Room was one of the larger and more well-regarded rooms in the industry.

At present, however, the room has been shuttered and former Doyle’s players have been migrated to America’s Card Room. While ACR has a solid reputation as well, many players are simply curious as to what the future might bring for the room once fronted by arguably the most famous player in the history of poker: Doyle Brunson.

Quick back story

Doyle’s Room actually has a fairly lengthy history, having been a part of nearly a half a dozen poker networks since the room’s inception in the early part of the 2000′s. Toward the end of the room’s lifespan, Doyle’s jumped from Cake Poker to the Yatahay Network (now known as the Winning Poker network) before finally closing up shop.

Will Doyle ever return to US?

USA players have always been the biggest fans of Doyle’s and it’s not hard to understand why. To many people in the US, Doyle is poker – so any room bearing his name on a list of poker rooms for USA players is going to be very attractive.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as if Doyle has any plans to bring the room back at all, let alone back to the US. That means players who want a chance to tangle with one of the game’s best will have to travel to Vegas to take a shot.

What’s next for Doyle?

That’s an interesting question. With his room closed and the years adding up, many are wondering if Doyle is plotting his retirement more than he’s plotting his next run at a World Series of Poker bracelet. Whatever he does, there’s one thing we can be sure of – he’ll likely do it with class.

As Unibet casino fans will know all too well, there was a time when the casinos of the world were doing all they could to usher poker players into a dingy backroom and away from the main casino floor. With allusions of the Wild West hanging over them like cowboys in a heist, poker players were often seen as shady individuals that were bad for business.

That attitude changed, however, when a series of events collided and knocked the game of poker into a new orbit.

The first glimmer of hope for the poker industry came in the form of the internet. Online poker began to gain some credence back in 1998 when a handful of players honed their skills on the first real money site: Planet Poker.

Almost overnight a plethora of poker portals emerged like stars in a newly formed galaxy and in time it was the brightest light in the constellation that would ignite the industry.

PokerStars had established itself as one of the market leaders by the time Chris Moneymaker, an accountant from Atlanta, qualified for the World Series of Poker.

After entering one of PokerStars satellite tournaments (a tournament with a low entry fee which can gain you access to a more expensive tournament), Chris went on to win the 2003 WSOP Main Event for $2.5 million. His success story became front page news the very next day and a phenomenon was born.

Chris was quickly signed up as a representative for PokerStars and began promoting the game to a world audience.

Within months the “Moneymaker effect” had caused a seismic shift in the perception of poker and traffic went through the roof. Indeed, having seen an amateur player parlay $40 into $2.5 million, it encouraged everybody to believe they could do the same.

At no point in poker’s history has there ever been a more significant moment than Chris Moneymaker’s 2003 WSOP win. It spawned a billion dollar industry almost overnight and breathed new life into a once decaying game.

If you want to take on the challenge of online poker or casino, check out Unibet wedden today!

Online poker can be a tricky world to navigate. There are so many sites pitching so many things that players can easily become frustrated even when looking for the simplest piece of information.

One resource that players in that predicament now have access to is OnlinePokerRealMoney.com. With the recent launch of OPRM, online poker players have an unbiased source on which they can rely upon for relevant, updated information about online poker rooms.

<img style="padding:10px;float:right;" border="0" alt="Playing poker" src="http://doylesroompokerrakeback.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/generic_queen_card2.jpg" / />What’s on tap for OPRM readers? At site launch, you’ll find a summary of the state of online poker, along with an already packed directory of real money poker room reviews. The list of rooms covered by Online Poker Real Money includes all of the heavy hitters: Titan Poker, 888 Poker, Sky Poker, Bet365 Poker and several others.

Room reviews break down the online poker operators across a number of factors, including software, traffic, VIP / promotions analysis and an overall rating for the room. You can also learn more about the background and history of the room with reviews from OPRM.

Players looking for a guide to the top rooms will also find a number of useful lists at OnlinePokerRealMoney, including a top site list that highlights the best options for playing online poker in your region.

What should you be looking for when shopping for an online poker room? The reviews and resources at OPRM are a great starting point for your research, which should continue beyond any one site. After all, much about what makes an online poker room appealing is subjective, unique to each individual player, so only by surveying a wide array of opinions on a site can you hope to gain an accurate, balanced perspective.

Have you ever gone on a blind date or perhaps a first date where you didn’t know the other person that well? Before you left the house, we bet you ensured that you were looking your very best and you made a promise to yourself that certain topics would be off limits. In the long run a person can get to know any flaws or dark secrets you may have but on meeting someone for the first time, you want to give off the very best impression. This means that you want to be positive and show off all of your best quantities.

Poker sites are waiting for you to visit

This is exactly how an online poker site feels just before you click on to it for the very first time. An online poker site doesn’t know when you are going to turn up for the first time so this means that it always needs to be ready, looking as best as it can and being willing to show off its better qualities from the start. One of the best ways a poker site can show off its best side is by offering signup bonuses to new members, giving them the time to relax and enjoy the games and promotions at their own leisure.

However, if all of the online poker sites are acting in the same fashion, it can be hard to see what ones are really worth falling for and what ones will only break your heart and your bank account. Knowing what the best poker signup bonuses are will give you the best chance of finding a poker site that will keep you coming back for more and will give you what you want. Not everybody is looking for the same sort of relationship from an online poker site so make sure that you know in advance what you are looking for.

What sort of bonus do you want?

<img style="float:right; padding:10px;" border="0" alt="Chips" src="http://doylesroompokerrakeback.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/generic_chips_aa_laptop.jpg" / />Free poker chips can be a very enticing welcome bonus but if you had set your heart on getting a matched bonus, don’t settle for second best. The welcome bonus has to be right for you as well as the online poker site so don’t ever think that you should settle for whatever poker site you find. There are a great number of online poker sites to choose from so you should find that no matter what bonus you are after, there will be a poker site that can cater to your every need.

The best poker bonus is often one that can be claimed using a poker bonus code, one that stands out for you in a crowded place and makes you feel as though it was made for you. Online poker is a very important thing in people’s lives and it is not something to be rushed into. If you are looking for a quick game of poker, there will be sites who can give you what you are looking for but if you want a poker site that you can play all the time and tell your friends about, make sure you find the one for you.

More changes are afoot at the new home of what was Doyle’s Room (now branded as Americas Card Room). The Yatahay Network, one of the older online poker networks, has changed their name to Winning Poker Network.

We’ll admit, it is a good deal catchier. It was never quite clear what Yatahay meant, and the name never really seemed to stick among online poker players. While “Winning Poker” is a little generic, it won’t be confused with any of the current major online poker networks and does seem easier to brand than Yatahay.

What does this change mean for players? Players should actually see no impact whatsoever from the change. You will still be able to play poker online for money at ACR, True Poker, or any of the rooms that make up the network.

The partner rooms of the network will all maintain their existing branding, and the software will also stay the same. In fact, players will be unlikely to notice any change at all except perhaps some small text updates in the poker client and on their room’s webpage.

What’s behind the change? There was no official word from the company on the motivation for the change, and any attempt to speculate on the underlying rationale would be just that – speculation. While it’s not common for networks to completely re-brand, it is also not unheard of – and the impact of the re-branding will likely be more significant for potential partner rooms than for online poker consumers.

Are there likely to be any negative impacts for the company as a result of the change? Not really – it seems like mostly upside for WPN / Yatahay. They get a fresh brand that seems a bit more relatable, and anyone who plays at the room will experience a seamless transition. If only everything in the online poker business was so simple.

PokerRoom is one of the smaller poker sites on the internet, and while it may be smaller in terms of players, it definitely does have its perks. A lot of people who play online poker– specifically those who have quite a bit of mileage – understands how great it can be to play on a smaller site. All theories aside – it can at least be fun in the communal sense. Having a core group can be beneficial in a lot of different respects, and there are even some people who like playing against a smaller amount of people because they feel as if it can give them some sort of tactical advantage. In either case, PokerRoom is a poker site that can boast more than just that, as there are a few other characteristics that make this a very good contender.

But, firstly – we should say that it’s not without its members, as there are still more than enough people who are ready and willing to take you on, as you should easily be able to find a game without much effort. This includes Hold’em, Omaha, or whatever it is you’ll want to play. You have the option of playing for fun, or if you want something a bit more intense – you can also play for real money, and like other sites, the competition will be just as stiff as you’re expecting it to be.

But, the community and the wide range of content are two things that separate this from a lot of the other sites out there. While these things are definitely not exclusive to PokerRoom, they can be a wealth of information for those who are looking to get into online poker, as well as for those people who are trying to sharpen their game. And with there being a forum there, there is always the chance for GreenRoom members to inquire or offer their advice to their fellow players.

PokerRoom is indeed one of the up-and-coming online Texas Holdem sites around, especially coming off of their hiatus. While they always seemed to be a site that wanted to provide a definitive source for online poker, they have really made some strides that is beneficial to everyone who plays and supports internet poker in any capacity.

There is perhaps no more famous man in all of poker than the legendary Doyle Brunson. While that fame wasn’t enough the build the largest poker room in the world, it was enough to carve out a very strong room with an equally strong loyalty to the man himself.

So what happens when Doyle’s Room is no longer Doyle’s Room? Certainly many players will simply shift their play over to their migrated account at America’s Card Room, but almost as certain is the fact that many of those who played at Doyle’s did so because it was Doyle’s – and now that it is no longer associated with the Godfather of Poker, those players will be looking for a new place to play real money poker online.

What about Cake Poker? The one-time home of the Doyle’s brand is a viable alternative for some, but others will be put off by the long processing time for cashouts and the relative lack of game selection. Cake certainly isn’t the worst choice for online poker players, but the room is unlikely to sit at the top of many “best poker room lists,” at least in the status quo.

Carbon Poker is a popular option for a lot of players, who are attracted by the strong traffic for cash games and tournaments that the room has to offer. Carbon is also suffering, albeit to a lesser degree than Cake, when it comes to banking speed, but their times are generally within the span of a week or two – a tolerable delay for the majority of players. Carbon also has a strong VIP promotion for high-volume players that could additionally offset the annoyance of cashout delays.

Choosing a room is definitely a personal decision, and players are unlikely to feel as attached to another room the way they felt attached to Doyle’s. While the future is never certain, one does suspect that the days of being able to play at a room headed up by the affable Texan have permanently drawn to a close.
